The Sixth Form has a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities and we actively encourage our students to develop their Sixth Form social life and make a contribution to the life of the rest of the college in a variety of ways.
SIXTH FORM FACILITIES
The Sixth Form occupies a distinct area within the College. The Sixth Form common room provides a comfortable and spacious environment in which students can relax and socialise. The study area has state of the art ICT facilities which help students to keep on top of the demands of Post 16 coursework and homework.
ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE
The Sixth Form at Thomas Bennett Community College has been established for many years and is a vibrant and distinctive part of the College. The size of the Sixth Form is perfect as it is large enough to provide an EXCELLENT RANGE OF COURSES while at the same time providing a STRONG PASTORAL PROGRAMME and support for individuals.
Our examination record over the last few years has been very strong and OFSTED recognised that in terms of our A Level results ‘the trend is upwards’.
At AS Level we continue to add value for significant numbers of students and at GNVQ/BTEC and A Level our pass rate has been regularly around 95%.

PROGRESS
Throughout students’ time at the college we are constantly looking at monitoring their progress and ensuring that they have every opportunity to do their best and achieve their potential. Parents and students will be given regular updates on progress in every year so that everyone knows what is happening.
