Welcome from the Headteacher
I am delighted to welcome you to our school. Thomas Bennett Community College is a thriving, inclusive community where students’ progress and achievement and wellbeing are at the top of the agenda. I believe all students are entitled to an education that develops their personality, talents and abilities in a safe environment.
Good exam results open doors, change lives for the better and empower young people to achieve their dreams. Our students learn in modern surroundings with excellent state-of-the-art facilities. Our teachers are well-qualified, committed professionals who inspire students and are passionate about ensuring their success, regardless of starting point. Although vital, outstanding classroom learning is not enough to have a lasting impact on the lives of our students.
What is also crucial is a rich and diverse curriculum that provides experiences that will challenge individuals, inspire ambition and develop the character and mind-set needed for success. The sporting facilities at K2, specialist dance, drama and recording studios, and the resources in science and technology, all contribute to expanding the breadth and depth of students’ experiences here.
Our aim for every student at Thomas Bennett Community College is that they grow in confidence and resilience and aspire to achieve excellence in whatever they do. We believe that in order for students to play a responsible part in the community of the school and beyond, they must have respect for themselves and others and the integrity to always do the right thing. We want every student to develop a passion for learning that will remain with them.
It is our goal that every student attending Thomas Bennett Community College for their pre and post 16 education will be provided with a truly exceptional educational experience, and that they will leave well-equipped for the next stage of their academic or professional development. I am immensely proud of Thomas Bennett Community College and I very much look forward to welcoming you.
